• The Forge — the heart of the shop. It never goes out, even when time is halted.
• Planets — the five workstations. One lap is one full cycle; the thin arc around each planet fills toward the brass line, and when it closes there, the next commission moves on.
• Moons — commissions in that station's queue, coloured by timber. The brass-ringed moon is next out.
• The brass line — today. Everything passes it on its way out the door.
