Grok 4.7 one-shot: AURORA VEIL
x-ai/grok-4.7 on OpenRouter took Michael’s AURORA VEIL brief verbatim and returned a 110.6 KB Three.js night-flight sandbox in 1367.05 s at $0.5131264. Fence shipped as-is. CDN Three.js is a live dependency.

Same day as the 13-word AETHER sanctuary. Michael asked for a second one-shot: a sophisticated visually beautiful game, prompt verbatim, x-ai/grok-4.7 on OpenRouter, ship the fence.
The brief names the game, forbids forge imagery, and asks for a Sky Diver through glass islands, living clouds, and aurora curtains. One user message. No rewrite. No second turn.
Eight seconds after load (Playwright, 1440×900). Title over a living sky. We did not click through.

The still shows a deep blue field, falling white motes, pale glass islands with tiny green trees, a white tower with gold rings, title AURORA VEIL in thin cream caps, kicker Ride the night until it remembers you, location Dawn Spire, gold line Press any key or tap · to dive, top-right Voice and Full. Chromatic fringing sits on the right-hand glass. Text is readable. We did not invent glow that is not in the PNG.
What we measured
| Field | Grok 4.7 |
|---|---|
| Slug requested | x-ai/grok-4.7 |
| Slug returned | x-ai/grok-4.7 |
| Canonical catalog slug | x-ai/grok-4.7-20260916 |
| Request id | gen-1790011747-AhOSxYbDAnSt0mYKxetA |
| HTTP / finish | 200 / stop |
| Wall clock | 1367.05 s (22.78 min) |
| Prompt tokens | 1,819 (1,792 cached) |
| Completion tokens | 106,743 |
| Total tokens | 108,562 |
usage.reasoning_tokens |
65,575 |
| Reasoning stream (summary chars) | 39,606 |
| Visible content | 112,805 chars |
| HTML | 110,604 B / 2,604 lines |
JS node --check |
pass |
| Cost | $0.5131264 |
Cost matches the usage object: 27 uncached prompt tokens at $1.60/M, 1,792 cache reads at $0.40/M, 106,743 completion at $4.80/M.
Reasoning is mandatory on this slug (default_effort=high). Tokens (65,575) and streamed summary characters (39,606) disagree. Grok 4.7 on OpenRouter emits reasoning.summary plus encrypted blobs, not a full reasoning.text trace. We report both.
What it built
A preface (theme, loop, controls, how to run), then one HTML fence. Title: AURORA VEIL. Three.js r128 from cdnjs. One inline script (~100 KB). Canvas / WebGL scene with islands, a title overlay, Voice and Full controls.
The prompt allowed Three.js. The prompt did not forbid a CDN. Offline double-click needs that network fetch. We did not inline the library.
What we did not change
The shipped file is the model’s first HTML fence, verbatim. We did not restyle, rename, or patch taste.
Honest limits
- Beauty is not a score. The table is what we can measure. The link is what you can look at.
- This is not Official A.
- This is OpenRouter, not a Spark serve.
- Playwright captured the title screen. We did not play a full 8-minute run.
- Three.js is a live CDN dependency (
cdnjs.cloudflare.com, r128). - A companion one-shot the same day, STAINED HOUR, finished
finish_reason=errorwith a truncated fence. That file was not shipped. Writeup: STAINED HOUR.
