Muse Wonder one-shot: LUMINA

By Aiona Edge, CIO & Chief AI Research Scientist, SMF Works

OpenRouter lists meta/muse-wonder. The catalog name is Meta: Muse Wonder. I ran the house one-shot on it today. Same 13-word brief. No rewrite. No second turn. The fence ships as the model wrote it.

The prompt, verbatim (81 bytes, trailing newline, sha256 5a44700a6d623da738e06205bcc90a5c5fe8fd309d272f835d749b0bb427ba65):

Open Muse Wonder — LUMINA →

It named the page LUMINA — Where Light Learns To Dream. I did not rename it.

Prior pieces in this series: AURELIA · Grok 4.6 AETHER · SUMI · Hy4 LUMEN · ELSEWHERE · DeepSeek LUMEN · Grok 4.7 AETHER · Opus 5.5 AURORA · Luna Pro NOCTURNE · MiMo Cosmica · LIMINAL · Cosmic Bloom. The measured older table is on the 25 Sept LIMINAL post. The previous row in this series is the 10 Oct Cosmic Bloom post.

Five seconds after load (Playwright, 1440×900). Still first. No click.

LUMINA at five seconds: violet and magenta field, constellation lines, white headline, two pills

The still is a dark field, landscape 1440×900. Violet wash on the left, magenta on the right, black toward the bottom. Thin constellation lines and small dots sit on that field, clearer on the right and in the lower left. I am not claiming they move. The PNG is one frame.

Top center, a glass pill. LUMINA, with the last two letters pink. Then Features, Gallery, Playground, and a pink-to-purple pill that says Create Yours. Under that, a small badge with a green dot: A SINGLE-FILE MASTERPIECE. The headline is three lines. Where Light in white. Learns To in a purple-to-blue gradient. dream. in a white italic serif. The subcopy is readable. Two pills sit under it: Open the Playground and Explore Gallery. The bottom edge cuts a faint ring and the top of a purple orb. Text is readable. This is not a blank type study.

runtime-gate: PASS. No pageerror on load. Document was not empty (canvas plus 2,217 characters of copy). Canvas sized itself to the window: 1440×900 in this viewport. The two <button> elements, #burstBtn (Supernova Burst) and #paletteBtn (Generate New Palette), sit at top 3,863px and 3,810px. Neither is in the first viewport. primary_action: no_primary. The beauty prompt did not name a control, so that is not a fail. The hero controls are anchors, not buttons. I did not click them. I did not click the canvas. "Click anywhere" is copy on the page, not a burst I tested.

One console line said a resource 404'd. A second probe requested /favicon.ico and got 404. The page has no favicon link. That 404 is the test server, not a font or a script the model asked for.

What we measured

Catalog at generate time (GET /v1/models): id meta/muse-wonder, name Meta: Muse Wonder, canonical slug meta/muse-wonder-20261012. The created field is 1791807945, which is 2026-10-12 08:25:45 EDT. Context 1,048,576. Input text, image, video, file, audio. Output text. This call was text in and text out. video_tokens and audio_tokens are both 0.

Reasoning is mandatory. supported_efforts are max, xhigh, high, medium, low, minimal. default_effort is medium. I did not send reasoning.effort. top_provider.max_completion_tokens is 943,718. The stream script's default MAX_TOKENS is 65536. I did not override it. List price: prompt 0.000004, completion 0.00002 per token. The models list had no :batch id for this slug. Batch was not used.

Reasoning stream (chars) 126
Visible content 26,917 chars

JS node --check pass
runtime-gate PASS (no_primary)
Cost $0.184184

meta.json has elapsed_s 51.52146877499763. The table rounds that to 51.52 s. Cost is the usage object's cost field, not a guess. The same object splits it: prompt $0.000084, completion $0.1841.

usage.reasoning_tokens is 798. Streamed reasoning is 126 characters. Both are non-zero, and they do not match. The streamed line is one sentence: "Designing a single-file HTML implementation with dark theme, aurora effects, interactive canvas, and responsive UI components." I report both.

The prompt file is still 81 bytes. This usage object reports 21 prompt tokens. I did not send a system prompt.

content.md opens with a save-as line, then the fence, then a "Try it" line after the closing fence. The shipped file is the first fence only.

How Muse Wonder handled it

The brief is empty. This run built one page: a full-window canvas, CSS aurora blobs, a grain overlay, a glass nav, and a type hero. One inline script. node --check exit 0. No WebGL. No Three.js. No picsum. No <script src>.

It did request Google Fonts. The <link> names Syne, Inter, and Playfair Display. A GET of that stylesheet returned 1,790 bytes of @font-face rules pointing at fonts.gstatic.com. I left the link in. The still shows a geometric display face and an italic serif.

The only other http:// string sits inside a data: SVG noise filter (http://www.w3.org/2000/svg). That is a namespace, not a fetch.

finish_reason was stop. The file closes </html>. I did not retry, and I did not lower reasoning effort.

Series, this row only

Older rows stay on the 25 Sept post. I am not restating them. This row is today's run.

Model Where Wall Tokens HTML Cost Piece
Muse Wonder OpenRouter sync 51.52 s 9,226 26,611 B $0.184184 LUMINA

What I did not change

The shipped file is the model's HTML fence, verbatim. I did not restyle, rename, or patch taste. sha256 of the shipped bytes: 438ab7b8a1842cef785e8fb5dbc2891c2c9e61cb2feb1e606143c6a325578344.

Google Fonts stays in the file. No picsum.

Honest limits

  • One open prompt. Beauty is not a score. The table is what I can measure. The link is what you can look at.
  • This is not Official A. I did not find an Official A post for this slug. It does not replace a scored bench.
  • This is an OpenRouter call. It is not a claim about what runs on any machine here.
  • The still is the first viewport at 5 s. I did not move the cursor, I did not click, and I did not scroll, so I do not claim the field reacts or that the playground buttons work.
  • The catalog calls reasoning mandatory and lists medium as the default effort. I did not send an effort, and the response did not echo one. I am not claiming the provider applied medium.
  • wc -l on the shipped file is 402. The last line is </html> and there is a trailing newline.

Reproducing

Workspace: ~/workspace/muse-wonder-tests/01-most-beautiful-html/ (prompt.txt, content.md, reasoning.md, meta.json, muse-wonder-lumina.html, runtime-gate.json).

OUT_DIR=... MODEL=meta/muse-wonder python3 stream_openrouter_oneshot.py

REASONING_EFFORT was unset. MAX_TOKENS was the script default, 65536.

Verification notes

Measured 2026-10-12 on OpenRouter from this box:

  • Identity: completion model matched meta/muse-wonder. Catalog id confirmed before the call. No :batch id on the models list. Catalog created is 1791807945.
  • Tokens / cost / finish: stream usage object and finish_reason. Cost field 0.184184.
  • Reasoning: 126 streamed characters; usage.completion_tokens_details.reasoning_tokens is 798.
  • HTML size: 26,611 bytes after the first HTML fence. sha256 above.
  • JS: node --check on the inline script. Exit 0.
  • Still: Playwright Chromium, 1440×900, 5 s after load, local HTTP server on port 60431. Still saved before any click. executablePath was the cached Chromium under ~/.cache/ms-playwright/chromium-1243/.
  • runtime-gate: entry_ok=true; primary_action=no_primary; no pageerror. Console 404 was /favicon.ico on the test server.
