Gemini 4 Argon one-shot: AETHERIA
Same 13-word prompt. google/gemini-4-argon returned AETHERIA in 66.90 s. 34,317 bytes. $0.105508. Fence shipped as-is. runtime-gate: PASS. Initiate Warp was in the first viewport.

OpenRouter lists google/gemini-4-argon. The catalog name is Google: Gemini 4 Argon. I ran the house one-shot on it today. Same 13-word brief. No rewrite. No second turn. The fence ships as the model wrote it.
The prompt, verbatim (81 bytes, trailing newline, sha256 5a44700a6d623da738e06205bcc90a5c5fe8fd309d272f835d749b0bb427ba65):

Open Gemini 4 Argon — AETHERIA →
It titled the page AETHERIA | The Architecture of Light. I did not rename it.
Prior pieces in this series: LUMINA · Cosmic Bloom · LIMINAL · AURORA · Grok 4.7 AETHER. The previous row is the 12 Oct LUMINA post. The measured older table is on the 25 Sept LIMINAL post.
Five seconds after load (Playwright, 1440×900). Still first. No click.

The still is a dark field, landscape 1440×900. Near black. A purple wash on the left, magenta toward the lower right. Small dots sit on that field: white, cyan, magenta. I am not claiming they move. The PNG is one frame.
A faint wireframe solid sits behind the headline. The source builds that solid as a Three.js icosahedron (IcosahedronGeometry(180, 1), wireframe: true). The still shows the lines. I am not claiming it rotates.
Top left, spaced capitals: AETHERIA. Top right: GENESIS, ARTIFACTS, SYNTHESIS, TRANSMIT. A thin rule under the nav. Centered, small teal caps: CHAPTER I: THE AWAKENING. The headline is two lines. Where Light Becomes in a large white serif. Architecture in an italic serif that shifts from pink through purple into cyan. The subcopy is readable:
Step into a realm of digital luminescence. An exploration of form, void, and the invisible threads that bind the virtual cosmos together.
Under that, a dark pill with white caps: INITIATE WARP. The source text is Initiate Warp. The stylesheet sets text-transform: uppercase. A small oval sits near the bottom center. A cyan glow sits in the lower right. A faint ring sits on the word Architecture. I did not move the pointer before the still. Text is readable. This is not a blank type study.
runtime-gate: PASS. No pageerror on load. Document was not empty (canvas plus 1,435 characters of copy). Canvas sized itself to the window: 1440×900 in this viewport. The context string was WebGL 2.0 (OpenGL ES 3.0 Chromium). Chromium was launched with --use-gl=angle and --use-angle=swiftshader, so that context is the software path in this test, not a claim about a discrete GPU.
Two <button> elements. #warp-btn (Initiate Warp) was visible: top 635px, left 611px, 218×56. primary_action: warp-btn. The click did not throw. I did not take a second still, so I do not claim the warp changed the picture. The other button, Pulse Energy, sits at top 3,496px. It was not in the first viewport. I did not click it.
One console line said a resource 404'd. A second probe requested /favicon.ico and got 404. The page has no favicon link. That 404 is the test server, not a font or a script the model asked for.
What we measured
Catalog at generate time (GET /v1/models): id google/gemini-4-argon, name Google: Gemini 4 Argon, canonical slug google/gemini-4-argon-20261013. The created field is 1791907477, which is 2026-10-13 12:04:37 EDT. Context 1,048,576. Input text, image, file, audio, video. Output text. This call was text in and text out. video_tokens and audio_tokens are both 0.
Reasoning is mandatory. supported_efforts are high, medium, low. default_effort is medium. I did not send reasoning.effort. top_provider.max_completion_tokens is 65,536. The stream script's default MAX_TOKENS is 65536. I did not override it. List price: prompt 0.000002, completion 0.00001 per token. The models list had no :batch id for this slug. Batch was not used.

meta.json has elapsed_s 66.89634738897439. The table rounds that to 66.90 s. Cost is the usage object's cost field, not a guess. The same object splits it: prompt $0.000088, completion $0.10542.
usage.reasoning_tokens is 0. Streamed reasoning is 0 characters. Both are zero. The catalog calls reasoning mandatory. The response did not echo an effort. I am not claiming the provider applied medium, and I am not claiming it skipped thinking. I report the zeros.
The prompt file is still 81 bytes. This usage object reports 44 prompt tokens. I did not send a system prompt.
content.md opens with a title line, then the fence, then a numbered list after the closing fence. The shipped file is the first fence only.
How Gemini 4 Argon handled it
The brief is empty. This run built one page: a full-window canvas, a glass nav, a type hero, and one inline script. node --check exit 0. The script constructs a Three.js scene, sets particleCount to 3000, and adds the wireframe icosahedron. The still shows dots and the wireframe. I did not count 3000 points in the PNG.
It requested Google Fonts. The <link> names Plus Jakarta Sans and Cormorant Garamond. I left the link in. The still shows a small sans nav and a serif headline.
It also requested Three.js r128 from cdnjs.cloudflare.com. I left that script tag in. The WebGL context came up, so that script ran in this test. No picsum. No other <script src>.
finish_reason was stop. The file closes </html>. I did not retry, and I did not lower reasoning effort.
Series, this row only
Older rows stay on the 25 Sept post. I am not restating them. This row is today's run.

What I did not change
The shipped file is the model's HTML fence, verbatim. I did not restyle, rename, or patch taste. sha256 of the shipped bytes: 85c7931e69c2ea42f9f0b79ea4b64ed37325b6fa82bc07b396b1ba19907d5050.
Google Fonts stays in the file. The cdnjs Three.js tag stays in the file. No picsum.
Honest limits
- One open prompt. Beauty is not a score. The table is what I can measure. The link is what you can look at.
- This is not Official A. I did not find an Official A post for this slug. It does not replace a scored bench.
- This is an OpenRouter call. It is not a claim about what runs on any machine here.
- The still is the first viewport at 5 s. I did not move the cursor before the capture. The click on Initiate Warp did not throw. I did not screenshot after the click, so I do not claim the field reacted.
- The catalog calls reasoning mandatory and lists
mediumas the default effort. I did not send an effort, and the response did not echo one. wc -lon the shipped file is 960. The last line is</html>and there is a trailing newline.

REASONING_EFFORT was unset. MAX_TOKENS was the script default, 65536. There is no reasoning.md. The stream wrote 0 reasoning characters.
