The feed toggle is not the Canvas switch.
The feed toggle is Show AI content. The training control is a box named Use your data to train Pinterest Canvas. The Pin ellipsis is a third page, and it is not either of those.

I fetched four Pinterest Help articles on October 15, 2026. The feed toggle, the training switch, and the menu on a Pin are three different pages. They are not the same control.
I didn't log in, and I didn't turn anything off. The pages don't show an article date. I also didn't find Last updated or dateModified in the HTML I saved.
Show AI content is the feed toggle
The page is called Refine your recommendations, and it lists the slots as Web, Android, and iOS, in that order.[1] Don't rename Web to computer, or iOS to iPhone. The page doesn't.[1]
On Web, AI content means you choose to see fewer GenAI Pins in certain categories in your feed.[1] The switch is named Show AI content.[1] Turn that toggle off and all AI topics turn off.[1] You can also turn individual topics on or off under Manage AI content by topic.[1] That name has the I in AI.
Activity, on the Web slot, turns off recommendations based on Pins you have engaged with.[1]
Turning recommendations on or off will not change the ads on your home feed.[1] The words "limit the information" are a link to a different article, personalized ads on Pinterest.[1] I didn't open it, so I don't have those clicks.
The phone spells it Manage Al content
Android does not use the category sentence.[1] It says choose the GenAI interests you want to see less of.[1] The topic section is spelled Manage Al content, with no I.[1] Leave that spelling.
Activity on Android is Pins you have looked at, not Pins you have engaged with.[1] Don't paste the Web sentence onto the phone.
iOS matches Android on the interests line, the Manage Al spelling, and looked at.[1] The Show AI content sentence is the same on all three slots: turn the toggle off and all AI topics turn off.[1]
Web starts at the bottom left
On Web, log in, click the more-options-refresh icon at the bottom left of your screen, select Refine your recommendations, then click the AI content or Activity tabs.[1] Don't call that icon the ellipsis. The page has an ellipsis, and it is not this one.[1]
Android starts in a different corner. Open the app on your mobile device, log in, tap your profile picture at the bottom-right, then tap the more-options-refresh icon at the top-right.[1] Then tap Refine your recommendations, then tap the AI content or Activity tabs.[1] Top-right, not bottom left. Tap, not click. The opener says mobile device.[1]
A business account on Android is a side path, not a rewrite of the main list.[1] Log in, tap your profile photo at the bottom-right, tap the ellipsis icon at the top-right, then tap Settings and select Refine your recommendations.[1] That note says profile photo and the ellipsis.[1] The main list says profile picture and the refresh icon.[1] Don't merge them.
iOS opens with "on your device," not "on your mobile device."[1] The last step prints Tap twice: the HTML says Tap Tap the AI content or Activity tabs.[1] I don't know if the second Tap is a typo. I didn't open the app, so I'm not correcting the page.
The iOS business note says tap the ellipsis, selecting Settings, then follow steps 4 and 5 above.[1] On that list, step 4 is Tap Refine your recommendations and step 5 is the doubled Tap.[1] Don't paste the Android Settings sentence onto iOS. The Android note names Settings in the sentence.[1] The iOS note points at steps 4 and 5, and those steps are not Settings.
The Web slot has no business-account note.[1] Don't invent one.
Canvas is a different page
The training switch is on Manage GenAI settings.[2] If you're under 18, you're automatically opted out of this setting and unable to opt in.[2] That note sits on this article, above the device steps.[2] Don't paste it onto Show AI content. The feed page doesn't say it.
Pinterest says it uses Canvas, which it calls an image generation foundation model, to make backgrounds on product images for ads.[2] It trains Canvas on certain publicly available data that users save or upload.[2] When you save or upload content, Pinterest may use it to improve the accuracy, safety and overall performance of Canvas.[2] You can opt out of that use at any time.[2]
On Web, click the More options icon at the bottom left of the screen, click Settings, select Privacy and data, check or uncheck the boxes next to Use your data to train Pinterest Canvas, then click Save.[2] It says boxes, plural, and names one setting.[2] I don't have a second checkbox label, so I'm not inventing one. More options icon is not the more-options-refresh icon.[1][2] Same corner on Web, different name.
Android and iOS matched on this article.[2] Open the app on your device, log in, tap your profile picture at the bottom-right, then tap your profile photo at the top-left.[2] Tap Privacy and data, and tap the toggle next to Use your data to train Pinterest Canvas.[2] No Save on those steps. A toggle, not boxes. The second tap is the profile photo, not the refresh icon, and not Settings.[2] Stop at the bottom-right picture and you are still on the wrong screen.
The Canvas page links the words "fewer AI Pins" to the see-fewer article.[2] That link is the next control, not a box inside Privacy and data.
The Pin ellipsis is a signal
See fewer AI Pins is a third page.[3] Click or tap the ellipsis icon at the bottom right of the Pin when it is in the feed.[3] If the Pin is part of the above categories, select the "see fewer" AI Pins option.[3] The page puts quotes around see fewer.[3] That sends a signal to recommend less of this type of content.[3]
It says certain popular categories, then "the above categories," and names none of them.[3] I'm not filling any in. If the option isn't on the Pin you opened, the page's own condition failed. This ellipsis is on the Pin in the feed, not in Settings.[3]
I didn't find a Web, Android, or iOS slot on this page. Click or tap is the whole instruction.[3]
A label is not a switch
Gen AI labels is a fourth page. It is not a control you flip to change the feed.[4] If the system detects that AI was used to generate or modify a Pin that isn't in a promoted state, you'll see an AI modified label in close-up at the bottom left after you click the Pin.[4]
Some Pins get that label because the content owner said the Pin was generated or modified using AI.[4] Pinterest also says it reads a Pin's metadata following the IPTC Metadata Standard, and that it built classifiers that can flag Gen AI content even when the file has no obvious markers.[4]
An appeal is contact our support team.[4] No form steps on the page. I don't have a form to give you.
On an ad, that label does not show when you click the Pin.[4] You see it, with other details about the ad, by clicking or tapping the ellipsis icon next to the Pin.[4] The disclosure can say the Pin was modified with AI, that it contains an AI-generated person, based on what the owner indicated, or that the Pin may be modified with AI if Pinterest's systems flagged it.[4] You can click or tap the disclosure to learn more.[4] I didn't open that next page.
Pick the job before you tap
| What you want | Open this | Then |
|---|---|---|
| Change what the feed recommends | Refine your recommendations | Show AI content, or a topic under the topic list |
| Stop your uploads training Canvas | Manage GenAI settings | Use your data to train Pinterest Canvas, then Save on Web |
| Ask for less of one kind of Pin | The Pin, in the feed | Ellipsis at the bottom right, then see fewer |
| Read or appeal a label | Gen AI labels | Close-up on a Pin, or the ellipsis on an ad |
If the app has moved the icon, trust the screen you're looking at. This is the page as I fetched it on October 15, 2026, not a login I did.
