Shot 9 of nine. DeepSWE / NL2Repo energy: not one soup file. The brief asked for ash-temper-orrey/ with README, index, CSS tokens, four JS files, tests.md with 10 manual cases, under ~1200 lines, no broken imports.

No ES modules. Four plain <script src> tags in order. README says double-click index.html; notes python3 -m http.server if anyone later switches to modules. CSS :root tokens present. tests.md has 10 numbered click-through cases.

How GLM handled it

It combined the orrery metaphor with the Ash & Temper brand as a commission calendar. Planets are workstations. Moons would be jobs. The forge is the shop.

Playwright Chromium, 1440×900, served from the folder (relative scripts). Zero pageerror. Zero console.

Orrery

Five dashed orbits, numbered stations I–V, a glowing forge at the center, a brass TODAY meridian. Ledger: Layout Bench, The Saw, Joinery Bench, Assembly, Finishing Room — all 0 pcs / idle. Transport: pause, 1×/4×/16×, DAY 02, + New commission, mute. Keyboard chips on the bar.

On-screen keyboard map: Space, 1–3, arrows, N, M, H, Esc. That was required.

Concrete defects in the still:

  1. Queues start empty. The orrery is a clock with no moons until you press N. Test 1 in tests.md does not seed jobs.
  2. Ticker says The forge is lit. Day one. while the ledger and transport say Day 2.
  3. Finishing Room wraps to two lines in the ledger.
  4. Google Fonts fail closed (Fraunces + IBM Plex Mono).

We did not taste-edit. We did not play through all 10 manual tests; we loaded, resized via the viewport, pressed H, captured stills.

What we did not change

Prompt verbatim. Files split from the model's path-headed fences, not rewritten. orrey.js spelling matches the brief (js/orrey.js, not orrery.js).

Honest limits

  • Playwright software canvas. No FPS claim.
  • Empty start is a product choice and a scoring miss on “serious execution” of a calendar.
  • DFlash2 draft weights on this recipe are CC BY-NC-ND. Research/eval window.
  • Hermes provider pins for :8888 lag. We report /v1/models and the completion model field.

Series close

Nine shots, one day, one local serve. Foundry needed a continuation after finish=length. Shots 2–9 stopped themselves. Shot 8 was the only multimodal turn.
